Domino x Crate&kids
Children’s Furniture Collection
Project Overview:
In the summer of 2020 I was approached to help design a furniture collection for a collaboration between Domino Magazine and Crate&kids. The collection, which included furniture, lighting, and textiles, aimed to blend Japanese simplicity with a SoCal-inspired fun and playful aesthetic.
I contributed designs for beds, shelving units, nightstands, and dressers, developed tech packs, and collaborated closely with product and strategy teams to determine colors, materials, and finishes.
Project Objectives:
To give kids the opportunity and confidence to create spaces that align with their own personal style.
To provide fun, playful storage solutions that empower children to keep their rooms tidy and organized.
To develop multiple families of furniture to be mixed and matched according to user preference and the limitations of the physical space.
To embrace the changes brought on by the pandemic in how family homes are used, by providing joyful, versatile, elevated kids’ furniture.
